Alitalia will sell an 80 percent majority stake in its charter branch Eurofly to an Italian bank. After being sold to Banca Profilo, the airline will be turned into a mixed charter and low-cost carrier, operating up to 12 ex-Alitalia MD-82 and MD-83 on a low-cost network. It is reported that six or seven of the aircraft will be ex-Alitalia planes.
