Ok yes before you guys say that it isnt unusual for an AA A300 to fly into MCO because yeah there is the early morning flight from MIA and the 11:30 flight from SJU. But I just saw an AA A300 come in a 7pm.

I went to flytecomm.com and Flightarrivals.com and couldnt find any info on it. There were a couple AA flights about that time, but one was a 757 and the other a 737-800, usually even when there is an equipment change they post it.

Is MIA shut down due to weather and it is a diversion? Usually diversions are posted though too.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but AA's scheduled to operate as many as 3 daily AB6 (all from MIA) into MCO this summer... enjoy them while they last -- the AB6 won't return to MCO this fall.

Actually they updated the flight. It came from JFK bound for MIA, might be a weather diversion, but that appears to be the only MIA diversion here so far.

There's an AA A300 that flies into MCO everyday around 8AM.

I've seen that before....there was actually a BOS-MCO flight back a few months ago with an A300 as equipment.

Where did you hear they will not return this fall? Both the MIA-MCO flight and the flight 478 SJU-MCO will be gone? What will be the replacement?

Yup.

MCO-MIA changes from 2xAB6, 1xB752 and 1xB738 to 2xB752 and 2xB738 on 2 July.

MIA-MCO changes from 1xAB6, 2xB757 and 1xB738 to 1xB757 and 3xB738 on 2 July.

478 SJU-MCO changes to B757 on 2 July.

So less than two weeks until the AB6 withdraws from MCO... the changes should be reflected in AA's timetables.

Yes I know DC10Tony, thats why I mentioned that I was aware of the 8AM A300 from MIA and I also mentioned the 11:30 am flight from SJU.

What I found unusual was an A300 arriving at 7pm on a Sunday night, and I later discovered it was a diversion from JFK-MIA.

Now does anyone know if this was weather related last night, were there other MIA diversions to MCO?

As far as the A300 leaving the MCO-MIA and MCO-SJU routes in July, it is possible that it might return in the Winter season when passenger traffic is higher through MCO.

Looks like it was probably a JFK-MIA diversion. American diverted ten MIA arrivals to various airports due to weather.

The A300s leaving might be only temporary.

I wouldn't count on the schedules.

Delta was only supposed to have the one 777 (Flight 63) come in at 1pm at MCO, but I have been regularly seeing 777s from DL around 10am and around 4pm.

Continental was supposed to stop using the 764 from IAH to MCO around 5pm and just use a 752, but the 764 is back.
