Why Gatwick? That means I will have to transfer from LHR to LGW. No way I can take an overnight flight and make it from one airport to another for the connection. And why wait until March '04???
Maggs swings, it's a drive deep to left! The Tigers are going to the World Series!!!

One of the reasons for Gatwick is a lack of available slots at Heathrow. By starting the service from LGW, it can be built up and if successful, a transfer to LHR can be considered. It fits in with BA's strategy of point to point traffic from LGW.
I noticed your closest airport is IAD, so a same day connection is possible. LHR-LGW has a minimum connection time of 3 hrs. The earliest arrival from IAD to LHR arrives at 0715 and the DBV flight leaves at 1030. I realise the transfer between the 2 airports isnt ideal, but it is possible.

Thanks. I have flown BA several times from IAD to ZAG in recent years, and they have not disappointed me. DBV would be another option for my business in Croatia and Bosnia. It would be easier if that BA flight from BWI still flew into LGW. And the return flight to LGW will require an overnight stay. Not a problem, but an additional consideration.

Glad to hear we're doing ok Fingers crossed the flight will transfer to LHR one day for you. But then again, there are worse places than London to overnight in! Cheers

Croatia has been getting a lot of press here in the UK lately. It is definately beginning to shine in the the eyes of holiday makers again. Which is great and overdue. I for one would love to go! Standby ticket to DBV for me next year please!!

I hope so! I've been wanting to visit SPU for quite some time (after seeing a Wild On!! special about it!!) I guess if the ZAG/DBV routes do well, maybe they'll consider it!
