I was hur tto learn recently that Spirit repainted their 10th anniversaary MD-80, adn the Delta's Olympic 757 is now flying with Song.

Does anyone know if any of theese babies left us or are in the pan to be repainted soon?

I think ATA 25th Anniversary is gone. I haven't seen it for a long time.

Continental Peter Max 777 is supposed to be painted back into normal colors next summer.

Nope the ATA 752 25th Anniversary plane is still flying in the fleet. The 727 variant is gone however.

US Airways and United seem to be the only US majors without a special paint scheme (excluding Shuttle a/c).

Does US Airways still fly their silver USAir scheme or were they all repainted too?

The AirCan 65th. anniversary scheme should be around till about 2005. Not sure when the TCA scheme is to be repainted.

The Spirit of Delta just got it's updated look last year. So until the company decides to change the livery it's gonna look the way it does now. But regardless it always going to be the The Spirit of Delta in one form or another.

I just met a couple of german dudes and they had some very nice photos
of some of their old planes. They were painted in a very striking white
and black sort of cross. They also pointed out a small detail on the
fuselage they called the "devils horn". I think they said the make of the
aircraft was Stuka or something?
Oh, almoast forgot, they muttered something about world domination
but I would'nt pay to much attention to that jibberish.

Yeah, I like the DC schemes too. I would have mentioned them, but I had a tough time searching. And there's a few of them anyway.

I also like the Delta Connection paint schemes. Too bad Comair isn't painting all of their aircraft in the 25th Anniversary scheme, that's awesome! Big grin

America West also operates the 500th made Embraer Regional Jet, and has an added "500th" on the side of it.

Bigphilnyc: Actually, America West Express operates the 501st ERJ made. US Airways Express has the 500th, but declined a special livery, so the honors went to HP and Mesa. Also, to answer you earlier question, all active US Airways aircraft are painted in the new colors, however, this may change as some 733s still in silver may be recalled from the desert this summer.
