Cathay Pacific pilot union asked their member demonstrate on 1 July to against the article 23. I want to know which group they belong to? And how many of them will demonstrate this on that day?

Pilots seldom involve political issue. Now they involve. It shows taht HK government really do a good job to make nearly all people demonstrate.

Below is out topic:
How many people in this forum will demonstrate or support us to demonstrate?

I'm against it that's for sure, but can't go an demonstrate, I'm signing tohe petition.

For a start I don't like the idea of police being able to enter anyones house without a warrant.

Also people that have seditious publications can be put in prison. How about Falung Gong, not illegal here.....yet.

The ones protesting involve some of the top lawyers in Hong Kong and many famous people.

More info for those who don't know much about Article 23
http://www.article23.org.hk/english/main.htm

If this article is enacted, then there goes the privacy and freedom we used to have.

Well, it's just the next step to bring your laws in line with those of the socialist paradise you now belong to.

While I don't support such laws (and am a staunch opponent of communism) it is understandable that your political masters would do such things as they will effectively prevent them from ever being removed from power by giving them the means to remove from society by any means they deem necessary any group or individual who is or could become a threat to that power.

This is only natural for totalitarian regimes such as the one you now live under.

Jwenting,
Hong Kong was run by the British for a century, the way things that are run in Hong Kong have not changed much since the Handover because society likes and is used to the ways things have been run.

There's nothing wrong with Hong Kong right now, why change it and make things worse with most people disagreeing? We have a different system in the way things are run compared to China, I accept we are 'One Country'. But what ever happened to Deng Xiao Ping's 'one country- two systems' idea which was promised at the handover.

There is no need for the change, I hope the protesting is effective. Thanks B-HOP for your support.
