Delta has CROWN ROOM CLUBS.
Do not mix these up with CROWN LOUNGES which are offered by KLM.
The Delta CRCs are pretty decent for the most part, with some really nice ones too. The one in Orlando for example is my favorite, with Atlanta "A - Atrium" a close second. Salt Lake City is also very cosy, but Chicago and Newark tend to be poky.
Which ones will you be visiting - they vary a lot across the system?

How much is a one day pass to the crown room? Will such a pass get you thru security?

I do not believe so, you need to be on the list, say you are meeting someone flying, and that needs to be done 24 hours prior. At least with CO and there Presidents Club. You call up the club 24 hours in advance and they do a list for the TSA agents and that is how you get into the club. This is providing you already belong. That is how I did it when I wanted to meet up with some friends flying through CLE and I belong to the Presidents club already.

You have to call at least 24 hours in advance and reserve a conference room (there is cost associated with it) and you may only go to the club once through security at the decided time.

What do I get for the $50, that's the question. If they pamper me and give me all the free drinks I want, with lots of complimentary food, etc, I just might pay it if I have an 8 hour stopover in ATL. Now if it's like the smoking lounge, then forget it!
