SQ's lasted a under a year, I think. It was terminated because of a dispute over the air services agreement.

Don't forget Swissair used to come to YYZ. Did Qantas ever fly its own planes to Pearson?
My top 10 list is very similar to Mel's above:
In no particular order
1. JetBlue
2. Emirates
3. Virgin Atlantic
4. South African Airways
5. Japan Airlines
6. Swiss
7. Lan Chile
8. Qantas
9. Aer Lingus
10. Aerolineas Argentinas
I have excluded a few Star Alliance airlines (Varig, SAS, BMI , Singapore etc) because AC already flies between YYZ and their main hub, which means, in competition terms, their presence in Toronto would not generate as much difference as non-Star members.

Just imagine, it's the middle of January, you step onboard our plane in YYZ, and you're suddenly transported to the land of sun, sand, and the mai-tai. Besides, I used to fly into YYZ a lot in my commuter days, and I'd like to go back now and then. Sweet dreams!

One smooth landing is skill. Two in a row is luck. Three in a row and someone is lying.
They also flew SYD-HNL-YVR with 767's but that also stopped after 9/11. Now QF codeshares with Alaska from YVR to LAX and operate their own services from LAX to Australia.
