A DL 777 will be flyingover Lenox Square before the fireworks. It is right off GA 400 exit 2! or take MARTA to buckhead or Lenox. the fireworks begin at 9:45.

I have a few questions;
Anyone know the flight #?
Is it operated by or for the military?
Does ATL Tower, departure, arrival, or center control it?

Actually, it's a 767 doing the flyover, unless they changed it since yesterday. It will be joined in a flyover with several UH-60s and F/A-18s, all flown by Delta pilots.

Here in my small town we had a couple of F-16s make a ton of noise real low...I thought they were going to crash!

Flairport,
Access Atlanta says it's a 777, while an article earlier this week said it was going to be a 767:

The Fishwrapper does make mistakes, so we'll see what it actually is later on today.

is dobbins or ATL controlling the flight? I don't care about the aircraft.

I MIGHT SEE IT OVER MY HOUSE SINCE MY HOUSE IS IN THE PATH FOR DOBBINS PLANES!!!!!!!!! AND IF IT TAKES OFF TO THE WEST, IT'll OVERFLY OUR HOUSE BEFORE GOING TO LENOX!!!!!

No, the flight will be under the control of Atlanta DEP/APP con while it is in Class B Airspace outside of Hartsfield and Dobbins tower control.

1) Lenox Square fireworks
2) Turner Field (Skip Carey said it was probably in a holding pattern, at 2000 feet!)

Heard it go ATL-MGE on 121.0 (General aviation dep/arr) but have NOT heard it since

I work at the airport for AirTran. Since our OTP was around 85%, we had zero misconnects and I had plenty of free time. I was able to speak with a friend of mine at DL who told me when to listen for the flight. I picked him up on our tower freq and watched him climb to 5000' and turn left direct to PDK. As far as I'm aware, only the flight crew was on board.
