I'm not sure everyone will see the pic, but I don't want to post directly the pic without ©

Thanks,
I´m surprised its painted already. I thought it´ll stay at least for a year at LH Technik for fitting out with the essentials like golden bathtubs and chandeliers.

This looks like the government airplane. Unless if this is the aircraft that is going to be converted later. Any way I'm glad to see another name in our region.

Of course it's Gvmt plane, certainly the new personal plane for the Emir of Dubai.

So I guess this bird frees the two Dubai 747SPs for the lesser royalty?

Well, every unknown - and relatively unimportant prince in the Emirates has far more luxurious transports at his personal disposition than the Queen of England anyway! Sic transit gloria mundi.

Looks great. I don't know why winglets make all the difference but I think the 743 is the ugliest 747 and the 744 is probably the most gorgeous.

Sic transit gloria mundi - what does this mean?

Cedarjet,
I agree with you. Its also for me that the 744 is the bestlooking 747, and the 743 the least. With the long upperdeck the 747 needs the more graceful longer wings with winglets to have a balanced look. Same applies to the 777. the 772 looks great, the 773 is ugly and is out of proportion.
And "Sic transit gloria mundi" is latin and means something like "Thats how the world´s glory is coming down". With that I meant that the Queen of the once most powerful empire of the world now has to use "ordinary" transport for her flights while some little princes in her former colonies fly private Jumbo Jets!
