I want to fly the NAMC YS-11 in Japan end of September.

I have seen flights loaded in the CRS operated by EL from CTS to MMB but as I have been informed, EL will retire their YS-11 in September and replace them by Dash 8. Are there any other flights in Japan operated by YS-11. I know that there are other carriers around such as Phuket Air and Air Philippines but I want to fly them within JAPAN.

Any help appreciated ...

Japan Air Commuter, even while they also get Dash 8s, still have almost a dozen in their fleet and thought to continue at least another year (although you never know with the integration with JAL). I have no time to check sample flights on Amadeus, but maybe their website http://www.jac.co.jp tells more about their schedule and then doublecheck the types on amadeus.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Thanks MEA-707. I found JAC as well operating YS-11. I checked most destinations within Japan in the CRS and the only flights I found where the one between CTS and MMB vv. but the last flight will take place on 31 August 2003.

JAC operates mainly in south-western part of Japan, isn't it? I think I will check again this part.

YS-11s are common in Japan Air Commuter's Kagoshima Prefecture routes:

Kagoshima--Okinerabu

Kagoshima--Yoron

Also, Air Nippon has several active YS-11 routes up Hokkaido way (hurry for those...they are going away soon.

that's my problem. Hokkaido EL flights will stop end of August and I will be there one month later. I think I should go down to Kagoshima iso Hokkaido.

Another question, why does JAC and JAS still operate under separate flight no. not using JL?
