Mine is more than wanted! I live 20 miles or so from EZE Intl. Many times a day I can see planes at different altitudes and headings (only one at the time, this is not Chicago!).

Some times they change heading almost above my house. This happens often. I wish I were under an intersection; let's call it LANUS (my city) Intersection (ha ha ha).

My house is under several airways. The lowest is V-348 and overlapping that, the DYLIN 2 arrival into EWR, which has an assortment of jets passing over my house at 9000'.

Over that, there's J-230 which comes out of RBV (Robbinsville) VOR heading to AIR (Bellaire). Jets on this airway are usually coming out of JFK off of the RBV transition and heading to the west coast or southwest; I've also seen the Concorde on that route going into IAD a few years ago.

To the east, I can see all aircraft going into LGA on the KORRY 2 arrival over western central New Jersey.

To the west, I can see 4 parallel jet airways all heading southwest from New York City, BOS, and dozens of DL, VS, BA, and other transatlantic westbound flights throughout the afternoon heading to their destinations.

Military planes from Willow Grove NAS/JRB (5 miles from my house) often fly over on training flights in pairs or 3s, including A-10s, C-9s, C-130s, P-3s, C-5s, etc.

The icing on the cake is the constant general aviation traffic on the edge of Philadelphia class B airspace just to the south. There are 47 (fourty-seven) airports, public and private, within 22NM of my house.

The view on a clear night is amazing!

Nick

Interesting!

There are only two Concorde flights a day - one from New York and one to New York!

I live fairly close to the MHT VOR and DRY NDB, and about 5 miles (as the airplane flies) from the airport. I see them passing at high altitudes overhead,
aircraft outbound from BOS making left turns at 14-15000 feet, and arrivals
to 35/departures from 17 turning over our house at about 2-3000 feet. I love
it (though right not 17/35 are shut down). Great fun with a scanner.

When I am sitting in my garden, I can see most of the planes which are approaching DUS and DTM, too bad that I don`t have binoculars, than I could read the registrations, maybe I should buy some.

I live about 40 miles east of JFK and I see planes coming from Europe going to land at JFK. When they are near my home they are kind of low (you can see the airline and type of plane easily with binoculars)

I also live about 5 minutes from ISP. When planes use runway 15R/33L for take offs or landings the plane go directly over my house. The planes are only a few seconds from the runway when they pass over my house.

I'm living right underneath the approach path of ZRH's Rwy28. From my home to touchdown, it's about 7 miles.

Higher up, I can also see departing aircraft from Rwy28 after they have made a u-turn, heading east.

I live right in between the approaches for the 18s and 17 at MCO about 2 1/2 3 miles out. I would guess the planes are at an altitude of 800-1000 feet up. They are low and loud, thats all I can say.

Please read, and understand, my contribution.

The last BGI Concorde flights will operate on Sat on the last week of July to the last week of August!

The one flight, there and back, on the JFK route, ops only Sun to Fri - the BGI flights, when they operate, are only on Sat. Get the logic?

I'd check your hearing aid, and specs, if I were you!

Currently, where I live- about 15 miles N of DTW, my particular area gets a very generous flow of arrival traffic (when landing 21/22). I had a pilot tell me approx. alt. is 4,000 flt. plus. Sometimes we have planes almost cross each other's paths. (diff. alts. obviously). The general flow is from the west (fly right over, then in the sight distance, bank right towards DTW), or the best, flow from the south in which a total smooth bank from the south to southeast (think of a half circle). Anyway, you get to observe flying with wheels-down, the NW ARJ's with the rear spoiler open, the Airbuses (B757s & ARJs also) "change" in engine-sound.

I've even seen my home twice flying into DTW. Some think it's impossible, but once you enter the Metro area, use the I-275/I-696/M-5/I-96 mixing bowl (if coming from the west) as a point of reference and you can find anything.

But I'll be moving to about 33 miles from DTW in the Fall.  Sad I'm going to miss the action.

I'm under the approach for the 24s here at YYZ. The announce they're at NOAH as they approach my house. I'd guess they're about 1500 feet up. I can read registrations with a fast moving pair of binoculars. They also fly overhead when departing the 6s. I'd guess they're between 4 to 7 thousand by the time they get here.
As the computer is located under a window, many times I'll be on A.net and can see what's coming in for 24R. When 24L is in use, however, that approach takes them directly over the house, so, I can't see them from this window.

Until a few months ago, I lived under final for Rwy 8L at AFB (HNL / HIK / PHNL / PHIK), USA - Hawaii">HNL, I would see about a billion JAL 747's every morning and just as many HA 717's in the afternoon. Good times.

Now I live at Davis-Monthan AFB in Az. A-10's and C-130's everywhere... but rare to see much more. Every now and then the rare E4 but not much else.

Yes I live under the crossroads of European traffic going to the US westcoast and Asian traffic gong to the eastern USA + the Canadian traffic.
This is just south of Edmonton.
This is what flies over my house in a day (ACARS equipped aircraft only)
I omitted aircraft types and 150 flights of Air Canada and Westjet to keep it short.
