The weather at IAH and in Houston in general has been brutal for days on end.

Off to the gym I go

It hasnt been too bad actually. When the weather at IAH really gets bad and the airport closes for an extended period of time, DFW ends up looking like a Continental hub  Big grin ....and I love it (although I'm sure none of you working for CO do)!

So far this summer weve only seen a few IAH diversions, and only a couple times did more than one or two IAH-bound planes divert here...

Huh ?, it has been more or less constant thunder and lightning for days on end, we are on flood watch and the bayou is overflowing... and that isnt that bad ?

Artsyman: I believe Jcs's meaning was sarcastic.  Big grin I know I love it when JFK and EWR get hammered and we get all the cool stuff. I remember in one day over the period of an hour or so, BOS got a Swiss MD-11, Turkish A340, Aer Lingus MD-11, TAROM A310, Austrian A310, among others. That's the best kind of weather for me  Smile

Oddly enough, I don't think he was being sarcastic, the impression I got was that ussually when the weather here is pants, then they get inundated with cool planes, but this time around he had seen very little in the way of diversions...

none the less, it isnt a big deal either way....

Like LH423 said, I was being sarcastic, but I do enjoy seeing some different stuff.

Honestly, I didnt think it was that bad in IAH though (the bayou is really overflowing?!), every time I check the weather it just looks like hit or miss thunderstorms. I didnt think you guys were suffering that badly.  Sad

Yes, we are getting light flooding, and the bayou is at the rim and it has just been rain and more rain....
