I think being on an RJ that long is nothing but a pain. They really do become uncomfortable after a while. But either way, good for NWA to add more routes.

NW only serves CHS (via Mesaba and/or Pinnacle) and Myrtle Beach seasonally. Columbia will be the 3rd SC destination served by the red tail.

You better not forget GSP!!! I work there. I work as ground crew for Delta there. NWA has twice daily DC-9 service to Detroit from GSP. They are serviced by Pinnacle going to MEM several times daily.

Synchmaster: Why do you say a long flight on RJ is a pain?

Hey, AZJ,
I left Mesaba in November and now am with Delta.
Pinnacle took over on June 1. Only about five ex-Mesaba people stayed. Those are at the end of their ropes (they're majorly understaffed with two or three TDY every week) and hate working for Pinnacle compared to Mesaba.
I saw all of this coming when I saw that on the day we started our DTW flights, we were losing all of the Avros. So I bailed. And apparently, it was a good decision.
I love working for Delta. But I do miss Mesaba... I loved those damn Avros.

Sorry to hear Chris you've left us at XJ. I had heard from the saab folks that get to go to HSV in the am that most people quit. I can't blame you guys either... while I guess it makes more sense for NW to put the avros on longer segments it does suck to be directly apart of the whipsawing that's going on systemwide. Maybe someday in the future the avro will grace HSV with it's presence. Though when we go to BHM from DTW we go right over HSV, look up and maybe you'll see us someday! =) What's up with the ultra long rwy you're getting? GEEZ!
