So which airline/aircraft combination do you miss most?

For me it is Capital in the UK who went out of business in 1990 with their Shorts 360's.....

The colour scheme may not be the most striking in the world, but I miss seeing it more than any other (Well, they were based at LBA which is my local airport).

So which colour scheme do you miss seeing on you favourite aircraft??

I miss not seeing the A320 flying in Australia anymore- looked great in the AN livery. The CRJ for Kendell's were great too and i really miss not seeing them around anymore. They really did disappear too quickly- only were in service for about 6 months  Sad

Those were my favourite (in order of appearance) and will always remain so. Pan Am's clippers are responsible for my love of aviation!  Big thumbs up

Well I would have posted pictures of a Piedmont YS-11 and FH-227 but it seems there is a new, IMO, useless, search feature on the homepage.

What the hell is that all about? Choose a letter and try to figure out which page you want? Not in my limited time I won't. Sorry Johan, bad idea. I work 14 hours per day and have a mere hour to spend here.

But Perhaps those that want to see what my choices look like can search. I'll just pull the appropriate negative album and remember.

Damn, this website is getting worse daily.

BWIA and its TriStars and MD80s. I last saw the TriStar in January 2003 in LHR and have not seen the MD80s since June last year. Now both types have vanished from its fleet - the TriStars after 23 years and the DC-9 family after 27 years overall. I can barely imagine BW now with just 738s and the A340... strange no T-tailed MDs.

For the US it has to be Eastern.By the time I had my first spotting trip to the US,EAstern had long gone under.I always loved their blue hockey stick cheat line.

For Europe I guess it has to be Air Europe(UK).By now RR Trent MD-11's would be in service,as would a large fleet of A320 series planes, yes,AE did order 320's.

but no F-27s.
I can't respond on this email as I miss ALL older jets and four engined props... The ones I was especially frustrated when they were grounded were the Reeve L-188s, El Als 707s, Air Malta 720B, Uniteds DC-10, Mexicana 727 and Aerocaribes FH-227. The L-188 I flew, the others I missed out on flying (the last three were plane changes to 757, 320 and J31 grrr while I deliberately picked and paid flight to get on the planned equipment).

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?
