I think especially out of Zurich to Italy (f.e.Bologna) and the Balkans (Skopje, Pristina etc.) must be some potential...
What do you think? And no to forget Beijing...

I could imagine that Odette would take over some of the Balkan routes.

As for the Italy routes I dont see anyone taking them over ... can't imagine AZ opening such routes. But maybe one of the low costs will jump in?

Rumours of a Lufthansa involvement have resurfaced, so that would take care of some intercontinental routes that were axed. LH is strong on Beijing, Tehran routes.

Best Business Class: Royal Brunei. Best Economy: Singapore Airlines. First: please send money first!

SAS will take over ZRH - Oslo with a daily 737.

There is rumour that Odette will start their own LCC, they will fill for sure some of the mentioned destinations.

I am sure the foreign carriers will just pick up pax to PEK via FRA or wherever. Perhaps that's how it should have been from the start....

I really hope a chinese carrier will take over the Beijing route. I remeber Air China operating 2-weekls flights some times ago

Is the SAS flight to Oslo really on a 737NG? I heard they'll use a MD-87.

Anywayz, I could imagine that Ukraine International will increase the frequency to ZRH.

KLM is picking up several routes. Passengers can go to KLM and have their Swiss tickets converted (for a small fee).

Tired of airline bankruptcies....EA/PA/TW and finally DL.

The reason why the routes were dropped was because they were un profitable. If a hub carrier with interline potential cant make them work - I really dont understand how an equally high cost carrier like AF or SK can make these markets work either - especially on spoke to spoke operations - with little or no feed.

The world is really getting smaller these days
