What's the best flight attendant uniform you've ever seen?

The worst?

(and may I suggest airliners.net add a Uniform photos section - until then visit my friend Cliff at http://www.uniformfreak.com !)

Nice plug for your friend's site  Big thumbs up

Best uniforms I think are Cathay Pacific. Sexy and elegant!

Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

The best I would say belongs to the following Airlines
-Air India
-Saudi Arabian Airlines
-Virgin Atlantic Airways
-Sri Lankan
-MAS (female uniform)
Worst would belong to
-Alot of airlines have horrible f/a uniforms especially int the US were every airline (exceptions would be ATA, DELTA, JetBLue) seems to have generic uniforms.

SQ flight attendants have stunning dresses with cool designs (Batik?). Air India flight attendants also dress really nicely.

Cathay Pacific
Emirates Airlines
Gulf Traveller (the new one shown in Airliner World july 2003)
Lufthansa German Airlines
Singapore Airlines
American Airlines
Air France
British Airways
Virgin Express
Kuwait Airways

The worst are:

CSA Czech Airlines
LOT Polish Airlines
and many others!

EmiratesA345  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

BTW EVA Air has introduced a new uniform.

You and I were meant to fly, Air Canada!

My best votes go to those airlines with representations of their ethnicity:

Air India
Indian Airlines (not the overweight mamas, I only mean the uniform)
Gulf Air
JAL used to have a kimono service

The worst would have to be:

British Airways... grandmother's curtains comes to mind.

Northwest comes a close second with regards to those that the junior FAs wear. However, the senior ones with the business suits looks smart.

Swiss Air Lines... remember my trip report about their crumpled uniforms? No pride at all. And they aim to be like SIA... C'mon!

Welcome to my starry one world alliance, a team in the sky!

Ethnicity is definately good. However, I seem to prefer profesionalism. Some charter op's have nice clasy ones. But wait, isn't the important part inside the uniform?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Was there any truth to rumor about an airlines asking to FA's to wear thongs to eliminate a pantyline?

I'd have to say that both Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines have great F/A uniforms. Both are colorful and have a great 'Hawaii' look, but still look professional. Hawaiian is a purple print on white, while Aloha's is a green-blue print with birds of paradise flowers on it. There are picture's of Hawaiian's on that website, but the one labeled as current is not current. Their uniforms look more like the "muu muu" one.

Yeah Emirates, LOT's isn't so bad.

Air Polonia
LOT (!)

In the worst category:
Austrian Airlines (the red is terrible)
BA (the pattern on the stewardesses blouses)
Alitalia (the green jackets)

How much A is there is Airliners Net ? 0 or nothing ?

All female's in hot pants and go-go boots......

did I enjoy that aisle seat  Smile !!

PSA also had some wild looking uniforms with hot pants
and go-go boots in the 70's also. I think their's were
purple outfits with red boots.....nice !!

50 KL911 : I would say: Best: KLM, Delta and Virgin Atlantic Worse: British Airways, British Midlands and Aer Lingus
