I was laying in bed when I heard an unusually loud sound of an airplane landing on runway 31 at LGA minutes ago (1:15AM 7/18/03).

Anyway, a review of Passur jsut now tells me it was a 733. Why coming in so late? Can anyone tel me anything about this flight? Sports charter? Late Delta Shuttle flight?

I'm just really curious.

Thanks,

-Phil

Depends on the sport schedule. I know Canadian teams charter Air Canada planes to fly them around. Those are 732's and 733's. Could have also been privately owned.

All I see on Flightarrivals.com into LGA right now is a late AA F100 (flight 580) from MDW which landed at 12:50 AM and a late UA 733 (flight 696) from ORD which landed at 1:17 AM.

It was a UA 733.

Here's what I see:

American 580 MDW-LGA arrived at 12:56am
United 698 ORD-LGA scheduled for 1:17am (says contact airline)
United 696 ORD-LGA arrived at 1:20am

If it was departing MDW or ORD to the south or east tonight, it was late. Both airports suspended departures in those directions due to TSTMS.

I didn't know AA still had ops out of MDW...they do have a hub only a few miles away...

Hey Phil, how close do you live to LGA!? Can you see it from your house!? Maybe you can see my MD80 of AA land on July 31st or see my 757 of AA takeoff on Aug 6!

I can see 31 landings and 13 departures easily form my house.

If I walk two blocks to the water, I see everything.

I told you, if I'm around, I'll film it. Jsut let me know the details.
