I am flying Paris-Los Angeles-Tahiti next month on Air Tahiti Nui and was wondering if anyone had experience of flying on this airline and if so what did they think?

I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

I have never flown them but I have the justplanes DVD on them which includes some views of the cabin and inflight service, based on that I would say your probably in for a treat. Will look forward to a trip report.

There was a trip report, by either Sccutler or Jhopper, I forget, on DFW-LAX-PPT on AA/Air Tahiti Nui. They had nothing but good things to say about it.

There's an article on Air Tahiti Nui in this months edition of Airliner World magazine, reading it, it sounds like a nice little airline. Still, it should be a more unique and interesting experience as you're not flying one of the "traditional" cariers.

I read in Airliner world you are greeted with the garland of flowers in economy class, a lot more if you fly business or first class though. Very nice airline indeed.

They replaced the A342 with more recent A343.

As you could notice in Airliner Worls, the interior is quite similar to ex-Sabena's.
From what I've seen on the Justplane DVD the service and frienliness of the staff seem to be very good.

Enjoy the trip !

Flying Belgian,

As you could notice in Airliner Worls, the interior is quite similar to ex-Sabena's.

Not a big surprise. The 4 A340-300s Air Tahiti Nui operates are the four originally ordered by Sabena, which were never delivered to them.

Air Tahiti NUI is a very good, reliable aircraft. Service is fine. Pilots - half of them are Belgian - are very experienced. You will like the looooong trip!
