I saw the Coming Attractions for the movie SWAT yesterday before Bad Boys 2, and it had a scene where they were practicing raiding planes.

It had to be a Delta L-1011 sitting in a field. I didn't see the Delta, but I know what the nose of the L-1011 looks like, and I know those widget stripes ont he side when I see it.

Even though it doesn't come out until August 8th, anyone know anything about that plane? Regi? Location? Is it really for SWAT training?

YEah Phil, I mentioned something about that the other day in the thread about the DL L1011 on ebay, about seeing a DL L1011 in the trailor for SWAT.

The clip was done so quick, I couldn't tell where it was.

I don't even know where the film was shot. I know Bad Boys II was in Miami, but I am not sure where SWAT was filmed.

I believe they filmed that L1011 at Mojave.

This plane is built to withstand anything... except a bad pilot.

Speaking of L1011's in movies I was watching Passenger 57 the other day and then I got online and looked at some pictures of Delta L1011's interior shots and some of the shots looked very similar to the ones that I saw on the L1011 used in Passenger 57. Anyone know what exact aircraft was used in Passenger 57?

Adam,

If I am not mistaken, they used the same aircraft for interior shots as for the flying scenes, i.e. N330EA (which was an ex Eastern Airlines bird). The aircraft had been withdrawn from use by Eastern in 1990 and - following its movie appearance in 1992 - joined the fleet of Faucett Peru in 1994.

Anyone remember Executive Decision, with Kurt Russell? I was reading this book that said that they actually created the Interior and Exterior to make it look like a real Airline.
