Hi all, I was looking at a picture of a northwest 753 cabin... anyways, I was wondering if they have LCD screens that flip down like on the CO 752s, as I didn't see them mounted in the isles? Also, I've heard they have modernized their cabins on the DC-9s to the newer "717 style" Are they just like a 717? With the curved cieling and everything? Also, Are there any good pics of their seats? I can't find any good pics of NWA Economy seats, or any other class for that matter. Also to clarify, Is it true that the A330s have 34" economy seat pitch? Thanks for any input or help.

I remember, I was on an NW flight from MSP-FMY, I think that's the code for Ft. Myers, FL. But anyway the 757 I was in, was a -200 I believe, had the 80s look and was kinda ugly, if you ask me, but they may have refurbished it. I am not sure about the A330. I will look to find good pics of the cabins of NW aircraft. I remember the seats were pretty comfortable, but I have felt better before.
This is the best photo I could find. Sorry it isn't a 757 but I think this seating is just like the 757. Also the TV's I found on the 757 were on the aisle and looked like they are there only for decoration

The B753 (and ships 56XX within the B752 fleet) have mounted LCD screens... the 55XX (older models, these planes were renovated last year) B752 have bulky TV monitors.

Yes, NW installed new interiors in their DC-9 fleet a few years ago... the new interiors are similar to those found in the B717.

Yes, the first half of Economy in the A330 will have 34" pitch + laptop ports ... the second half will have 32" ... every seat will have PTV w/on demand video.

The 757-300 was a great ride on NW, although it would have been nice to see a new style for their seats...During my flight I never saw a TV screen, so I imagine it is LCD flipdown...The ceiling style is just like you would find in a 737 Next Gen or as some have called it the narrow bodied version of the 777 interior...

i've not been on a nwa 757-300 yet, but i do fly their narrow airbuses, dc-9s and 757-200s. the a-319/320s are usually clean and well-lit, and look relatively modern. same goes for the 757-200s, although the colors show a bit more age. the dc-9s look and feel new, that is until the engines start and you realize you are on a 30-36 year old plane. then it gets real loud, and the air circulating smells bad. none of the nwa planes i've been on have looked or felt as comfortable as aa's or continentals (with the newer seats and winged headrests). this is also true for us airways, which has newer planes and cabins, but stiff unexciting seats.

As far as the NW video monitors I believe NW no longer has any inflight entertainment (video/audio) on their domestic service including transcons, and I believe the 753's were delivered without audio/video equipment.

NW doesn't fly transcon. No, there's no domestic IFE, except for HNL flights... not a big loss since most domestic IFE sucks. If you fly frequently, you tire of seeing the same episode of Friends being played anyway.

No, the B753 were delivered with IFE systems that may eventually be installed on the A319/A320 (some of the A320 already have IFE systems though).
