>>>New ones or used ones...and do you dryclean and iron the used ones?
I´ve been collecting for 13 years now - and this is always the first question people ask - most of the time trying hard to hide that smug grin
>>>What are the most beautiful ones? Are these regular bags or are there limited editions?
Hmm, beautifull. I mean, there are completely different approaches: designs which follow a no-nonsense approach, offer no frills and perfectly blend in with the cabin layout - LH being a prime example - are very nice.
On the other hand are the bags Air India used in the 70s - aesthetically very pleasing, but a tad psychedelic - if I were on the verge of puking, this design would completely do me in:
Crossair - envelope to mail undevelopped film rolls
Continental - doggy bag "Once you have had a chance to roam, don´t forget those left back home"
TWA - gin rummy scoreboard
Delta et al - "Seat Occupied" sign
Maersk - X/O playing field
some British charter - container for biohazardous waste
Special editions? Lufthansa´s used to have a "best before" date - typically German, I guess...

I once was on a cruise-ship and they have put these sickness-bags into each cabin. When we were drunk in the bar, we had an idea for a nice joke: we went to a store the next port and bought baby-food.
When we were on the vessel again and we had horrible weather, we've put this food into one of the sickness-bags. We went along the ship and when people arrived, we took some spoons, put them into the bag, ate some baby-food and said: "Eih, some people are so stupid to throw this bag away."
As you can imagine, the other people weren't very amused

WOW!!! People actually ask you whether you dryclean and iron the used ones? And exactly in this order?
Well, a clear indication what a totally average type of guy I am, though I actually wasn't grinning when typing it (average AND humourless...bad combination)
Hmm, dual use bags....I like that, especially that thing about the film rolls...hopefully I don't have to urgently use it AFTER putting the films inside, could be hazardous to the pics.
btw: Just looking at that Air India bag makes me feel dizzy *gulp*, but I suppose one could use it to make a nice big spliff, family-size bob-marley-memorial-joint or so...
