What an airport... I can't believe it... looks a little bit strange! I can't find such a pic in the a.net database...

WOW is a very appropriate word to use! Great shot, glad you found it.

The spot sucks because it seems that the beach bar there is closed Big grin

Serious: It is almost like SXM, I never heard from this airport before.

OK, yet another airport on my "holiday destinations when I'm rich" list, right after St Maarten and ahead of that other one, what was it called, I think it's in Mexico.... erm... with the 727s and AA 757s flying in above a small pub...

So how much scheduled jet traffic does the airport get?

Regards

Ikarus

Ikarus -

I believe that you are thinking of TGU (Tegucigalpa, Honduras). There is a small restaurant on a hill just to the right of the approach path (sorry, don't know which rwy). The a/c are so close on final, that it seems as if the restaurant opened a new drive-thru window of sorts!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Some time back, I saw a couple of pics here on a.net of a SAHSA 722 on final for TGU. Definitely a close-up of the a/c!

Those are the exact pics, Matt. I was too lazy to go search for them, though!  Wow!

Hmmm, seems were discussing the same thing in aviation photography...

Have no idea why that link looks so strange, but it does work.

Anyway, how about MLE [Male, Maldives] . . . .
