For those of you who know about the completion of Phase I in the BOI expansion, here is some info on Phase II, and III. There might be a few things wrong, and I might miss out on some details...
They will start tearing down the Old Main Terminal making way to build the Security corridor, and Food court. They will also build a new jetbridge to Concourse B. They will build a Concourse C. It will be located on the lower floor of the food court. This will allow gates to Horizon, Big Sky and Alaska.
They will be demolishing and rebuilding Concourse A. Concourse A will be a mirror image of Concourse B, on the other side of the food court. I am not sure what airlines will go into Concourse A, nor do I know if they will keep Concourse C.
I hope that brought new information on the Expansion. I am not sure when the new runway will be built. I will try and make a map of the New Expansion. The whole thing will add 10 more gates or so. I have been in the new main terminal and it is very nice and modern. I got the information by emailing the website. You can go to the website via http://www.boise-airport.com

Hey!!!!! You haven't e-mailed me back yet! Anyways, thats good to know about Boise. I hope to see direct service between EUG-BOI some day, but I think Yeilds are too low, although a Q200 once a day might be a good fit, it is a horizon hub, and it would offer a more convienent connection to Boise, but I guess PDX still has plenty of room... I guess we'll see.

I too am a bit surprised that there is enough demand in BOI for another concourse and 10 more gates. Are some of the carriers planning additional service? The last time I was there a couple of years ago, the terminal seemed to be the right size and not too busy.

Boise has :
and I've heard that they are getting Alaska. American Eagle was there for awhile, but I've been told they left. I moved away month's ago, but this should be relatively up to date. Also there's the guard base (A-10s, C-130s, UH-60s, AH-64s, and C-12s) and the NIFC (National Interagency Fire Center) ramp, where a lot of fire bombers fly out of during fire season.
