Does anyone have any idea as to the possibility of operating long haul flights from short-runway airports?

I was thinking more along the lines of A319CJ flights and the possibility of going from airports such as Burbank, John Wayne, and Chicago Midway. For example, would the Privatair planes be able to make it from, say Midway to the continent versus operating from O´Hare (all economics aside), as well as from Burbank to possibly Keflavik or to Ireland?

Thanks,
