Just a short question because I couldn`t find this information on SQ`s homepage: Is Singapore Airlines` Economy Class equipped with laptop power sockets? If yes, what kind of cable/adapter do I need? Are these cables/adapters available on board?

No, but Singapore Airlines Pte Limited needs your money, so go upgrade to First Class where there is power aplenty for your laptop!

Actually I'm unimpressed and utterly disturbed and disgusted by the fact that Singapore Airlines Pte Limited - A Member of Star Alliance - A Great Way To Fly does not have this service in Economy class, in which it pretends to be outstanding.
Patrick, this is certainly something to complain about in your trip report. Because due to this, Singapore Airlines Pte Limited will not be perfect on your flights. Maybe you can start a discussion with one of the beautiful Singapore Airlines Pte Limited flight attendants (which make good wifes I hear) to see how they perform in difficult situations like this (they have to defend the best company in the world, so it must be intriguing to know what their answer is on the fact that the Economy class seats do not have a power supply).

Even American Airlines has power sockets..and Aeroflot in Business Class...but hopefully we can see Singapore Airlines Pte Limited add this service with the delivery of new aircraft.
But with krisworld, and WISEMEN, I don't think you are going to need power sockets to keep you entertained, and business travellers take Raffles or First class in Singapore Airlines' words.
Speaking of Singapore, why is everything there Raffles, and what does Kris have to do with SQ. Raffles Hospital (seperating twins) Raffles Hotels, Raffles Class. KrisWorld, KrisFlyer, KrisJohnson :-P

Sabena 690, do I detect a hint of disparagement and hostility towards myself? Refrain yourself if you can.
Sir Stamford Raffles colonised Singapore as a British port hence Raffles.

Frederic,
of course I will complain about the missing laptop power sockets in my trip report and I will also send a letter to SQ. I paid the unbelievable high fare of 598 EUR for a return flight from FRA to SIN and two nights in a middle class hotel for my girlfriend an me, it is unacceptable in my opinion that they don`t offer such service for their loyal premium customers .

Most airlines don't offer that in economy that I know of... Of course, on my flight to Bali and Singapore later this month, I will be flying Biz, so it wont matter... :-P
I really thought that their long haul aircraft might have it in Economy though. The only time I have ever used it before was on a Delta Air Lines 764, which has it in economy, so I guess there is enough electricity to do so.
Should be a nice flight regardless though!

First things first... it is Singapore Airlines LIMITED.
Can the engines generate enough electricity to provide laptop power connection for all Y, J, F classes?
I believe it is the APU that provides this power. Perhaps this is something to ask in the tech forum.

You mean kids of your generation were never taught about Sang Nila Utama? Or is he actually a myth? You have a very valid point there, though.
