On Tuesday I was at STN and there I saw a MD-82 or MD-83 of an airline called VIKING and it had a "SE" reg. so I suppose it is a Swedish airline.
What kind of airline is that? From where to they operate? Any information is appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Max

Hi Max,
they operate two ex-Swiss MD-83s from what I know. Although they are a Sweden registered company, I think they are headquartered in Umea, their operational base is actually Heraklion, Greece. From there they operate charter flights mainly to the UK.
Best regards
Thomas

Does anyone else suspect a Transjet re-incarnation here - same type same kind of operation ex Heraklion. Anyone like to confirm either way?

Thank you for the info Thomas!

Well I guess anybody having anything to do with Transjet will have to see how to pay the bills for the parked 747's at ARN first... I have heard that for them to stand there costs 60.000 SEK each day...

Maybe this will help to know which airline I mean for those who also don't know it...

Those are both the MD-80's: SE-RDE and SE-RDF.
