New International Terminal @ ATL

The preliminary drawing for the new International Terminal @ ATL has been released. The new terminal building (tenatively named Concourse F) is planned for opening in 2006.

It's really not much more than a transformation/add-on to the existing IAB in order to change the concourse into a terminal.

Still looks great though! Cant wait to try IAH/DFW/ATL's new IABs... all arriving within a year of each other  Big grin

Actually, it is not part of the current Concourse E, which in the picture is right behind the new control tower.

Are you actually sure about that one of those new international terminal? This willing use an the international flight on other airlines use into the concourse F is: AM, LH, KL, KE, AF and SA, too? What are you still think will use still on the international concourse E will remain whole Delta concourse? Well, talk ya later!

The new terminal will be connected by train to concourse E. All Atlanta originating international passengers will enter from this new terminal. One of the biggest complants about ATL was the long travel time from the terminal to the international flights. They should break ground real soon the old Eastern cargo building was torn down months ago.
