I always wondered why SR had that dull look with the Red, White and Grey combo, when they could have had a Choclate Brown belly and engines to match, it really makes the Red tail, winglets and title stand out, and the colour represented one of the most famous Swiss products as well.

Are you trying to say the colour is taboo is Europe? it was part of SR's 1980's livery if you recall the cheat line, but it was a lighter shade, also the picture above was much better looking before I saved it and posted it here, I dont know why it got altered, I mean the colours were more vibrant, especially the Red 'swissair' title which is now looking sort of Brownish.

Its just that too much of the chocolate brown probably would not look as nice as just the cheatline in that color (just my opinion).
maybe our friend who has been busy doing some color schemes on airplanes that those airlines never really owned could take out a little time and post a picture of a real MD 11 with your recommended scheme.

That livery is not so outstanding. Before the last livery SR used, they had a nice 2 tone brown cheatline in their planes, I think they used the brown due to the swiss chocolat - by the way, its excelent!!!!

Well his JAL livery seems more interesting than their present one, the Green replaced with Grey as in the swissairways sceheme or Silver would look better, the tail logo could be larger too, http://perso.wanadoo.fr/puck/JAL.jpg.

When i hear the name "swiss" and "swissair" i am wondering if all the passengers who had tickets from "swissair" still after their insolvency, got their money back? Also: did the companies who have built galleys for SR, got their money?
Anybody knows? A "new" airline with planes from SR, employees from SR etc, paying money back to SR-clients?
I fear: no. A shame!

Unique, for me Swiss and Swissair are the same!
Yes, i know, officially this are 2 different companies. But if a company has the old sr-planes, the old sr-staff, etc. so it's the same company for me.
SR ordered galleys in little companies, they made reconfirmation to this little companies so that they produced the galleys and already at the time they gave the reconfirmation, they knew that they woldn't exist any longer. Also the passengers: they bought tickets, have been somewhere in the world and have been told: eih, your ticket is good to clean your a**.
i know it's old-fashioned, but for me this is no moral.
and, as i already mentioned: swiss is same like swissair, just other outfit. and even this didnt change that much.
