No NO NO...I was hoping no one would post this as the picture above does not show how lovely this uniform is.
No offence to the F/A in this pic but the combination of articles of clothing does not do it justice.
You see...The new BY/TUI uniform is currently being trailed here in the UK and in Germany and Scandinavia, I myself being a trialler. I have had so much positive feedback from my colleagues and members of other airlines. There is a choice of articles you can wear, and the trial is showing that some combinations are better than others. I cannot believe the company has published this one.
I have been dying to show you all the pictures of the new uniform for months but not sure if I can. Now this is published, I will seek permission to show you the official photos ASAP.

The new air2000 uniforms are.... not that great, well I dont like them anyway. Bright pink skirts and jackets (need your sunglasses on the aircraft let alone at your destination!). Underneath that is a blouse which starts off the bright pink and fades up to green (the green on the aircraft).
As for the guys, no male cabin crew on my flight, but seen the rep at BHX and he had the bright pink shirt with a black jacket/trousers. Awful shirt for a guy!!
Personally, I think MYT crew look the best at the moment, although haven't seen the new MON in person but looked nice on paper!

The old Brittania uniform looked really good in person (that picture dosen't do the uniform justice). The new uniform might look much better in person, will it include some type of jacket over the uniform, or are we getting what we are seeing .

The 1990's air2000 uniform was very nice... very professional looking. I agree, the new ones are not that great, but not as bad as some of you make them seem.
The Brittania uniform isn't bad, but it isn't good either. I'm curious to see what the other combinations look like. Then, I will make my decision. The old BY uniform wasn't very nice, in my opinion. That scarf is absolutely dreadful.

the new uniform is kinda like marmite in the sense you either like it or hate it i think hehe and as a tui employee myself im going to be trapsing around birmingham soon wearing it. everyone within tui is having the same uniform with certain moderations for cabin crew for saftey and resort reps for heat etc etc but generally everyone will be wearing the same "sand sky and sea" uniform.
i work for lunn poly and currently im wearing very loud orange shirts every day so a change might just tone me down a little hehe and i know some of the staff in the pilot shop, traling the retail version of the new uniform and its going down well with both staff and customers. tui are somewhat proud of it, and feedback from resort is that its working too - so come april everyone in tui should be wearing the new uniform intime for summer 2004.
be sad to see me ikkle orange shirt go hehe
