Does SAA Airlink use F28 on the Cape Town-George route? I just checked my tickets and read that an F28 Fellowship shall be used, is this possible? I thought they just have ERJ135 and Jetstream 41. Thanks for the infos! Best regards, Clemens!

They are using F28 for Johannesburg/East London/Johannesburg
and George Cape Town for certian dates
Last week it operated the Swazilink flights Johannesburg Manzini
This is mainly when the aircraft operating the route are in for major checks

When disembarking my flight at JNB on 31/7 I was surprised to spot a parked F28 in SA Airlink colours. Thought for a moment the beer I consumed on the flight went to my head! Your ticket confirmation seems to confirm what I saw. Maybe a short term lease for an extra capacity period? Hopefully it works out that way for you. Personally I would much prefer a classic bird like the F28 to the usual J41 or EMB! Let us know the detail of what transpires.

Hi! Just got an email from the airline! They leased F28 because the EMB135 are in a major check. I'm really happy about this! Probably an Airquarius plane, or do they have any other F28 in South Africa? Best regards, Clemens!
