Say a captain that flies a 767 across the US coast to coast. What would his/her yearly salary?

It depends on so many different things (i.e. how much seniority they have, what airline they work for, how much seniority they have, how long they have been working there, how much seniority they have, etc.). Pilot salaries can easily vary from $19,000 to $300,000 per year. In your case, if I were to take a shot in the dark, I'd guess that a 767 capt probably makes $180,000-$200,000 a year or so, perhaps even $250,000 if they're lucky.

Let's not even get started on how little, if they even get paid Russian and Ukrainian pilots make, and they are regarded as among the best pilots in the world, working astronomical hours, bringing those babies down beautifully..and they don't strike over thousands of dollars...they just make a little bit.

JHooper, since when do pilots get paid based on seniority? Better get your facts straight before posting things like that.
Example: If there are 500 Captains on the payroll with seniority from 1 year to 25 years and all but the lowest captain quits, is that lowest seniority captain going to get a big raise? I don't think so. Pay is based on the years of service.

yes pay is based on years of service which is somewhat senority. According to an national average in the USA UPS pilots make the most.
first year FO will make around $35,000 but an fith year FO will make $99,000
5 year captain around $150,000. I am sure the salaries have gone down since 9/11 but UPS and Fed Ex dont lost that much buisness. UPS truck Drivers get aroun $70,000!.

Seniority drives everything for pilots. It determines what category aircraft they fly (hence pay rate), the trips they can hold, etc. This all goes into the pay equation. And logically enough, the pilots with the lowest seniority numbers will naturally have the most years of service.
