Does anybody know the current status of Lan Ecuador´s plans to join Oneworld Alliance?

If I am not mistaken, technically speaking, all the Lan carriers, LanPeru, LanEcuador, and LanDominciana, are unofficially in oneWorld. A oneworld member flying MIA-UIO on LanEcuador, MIA-LIM on LanPeru, or MIA-SDQ on LanDominicana, gets the same benefits as he would flying MIA-SCL on LanChile.

i though the same until my last flight on XL; they were unable to share miles with AA or BA as of Aug 11th 03.
