Have you ever dreamt about planes? If yes, please tell us what happened.

I had a dream last night about a KLM A340 (!) landing in a former RAF base (Chivenor) located within the town from which I come. It was strange. The aircraft was manoeuvering for finals and I could see it from my bedroom window. Most odd.  Big grin

Not too long ago, I dreamt about being in Rutland, a run down town, and saw a Russian Train Station, and a weird airport with gates and CO jets..and a UPS 747 couldn't make it in and crashed, but noone was hurt..I've had a couple of plane dreams like that.....I think I'm really going too far with liking aviation.

What now?

lol! It is certainly mysterious how we combine various things in our life together to result in such diverse dreams!

About A year back I had A dream that I was on A DC-9 departing from PHL. As we got about 100Ft. in the air I looked out my window and seen I-95. Then about 200Ft in the air the plane started going down and we crashed into some grassy area. As soon as we crashed I noticed the plane was in 3 peices and I got out and tryed to help others. As soon as I woke up I thought it was A really cool dream! LoL... Don't know why but the dream was more fun then scary, but maybe it was because it was so realistic... Hmmmm...

I've dreamt about airplanes on numerous occasions. The most common one is a variation of "I could have sworn the plane was an A320 when I boarded but now it's a 777", when I board the plane it's one thing and somehow it morphs into a different plane while I'm on it! I spend the rest of the dream baffled as to how I could have wound up on a different plane than the one I started in!

It's weird if you ask me. Maybe I need to get a life! Big grin

i had 2 just recently. 1, i was sitting in a C172RG waiting for departure. i was cleared for takeoff, applied full power and began my takeoff roll, only to have the plane go and leave me sitting at the departure end of the runway like a dunce. 2, i was in the same plane and did a couple touch-and-go landings. on my third attempt, for some reason, a tail hook dropped from my tail and caught an arresting wire on the runway, ripped the plane into a couple pieces. (this was right after the plane had been repaired following a gear-up landing. i could not wait to get back into it and fly a real airplane again.)

I dream about airplanes quite often - sometimes, I dream that I am ABOUT TO fly on an exotic airline to an exotic location - like Qantas LAX-Australia, or on my way to Mauritius...seems cool, huh??...but then I either wake up on my own or my mom wakes me up...never, never have I ever had the chance to even STEP onto one of those planes....but, once again, it is a dream, and nobody can control it...

Funny... Yesterday night I dreamt about the following. We live in a two story house not to far away from a refinery. I was looking outside our bedroom window at the 2nd floor when I saw this 747-400 flying over low (about 1000ft altitude) with an abnormal high speed. Much higher than needed for landing. My first thought was that it was refectories for landing at LAX. I also assumed first that it was a Korean Air jet, but it turned out to be a KLM jet (old c/s). It was going fast and low in the direction of the structures of the refinery. And I was yelling 'Pull the thing up! Pull the mother up!'. At the last moment, it pulled up (in quite an unnatural way), but I saw some towers from the refinery falling down. The next thing I saw was the 747 on it's belly, 90 degrees turned (from its flying direction) and puffs of smoke. No explosion though. I woke up then, I thought about dreams that forecasts. It was pretty real. Needless to say that the next thing I did after I woke up was looking out of the window at the refinery. I still remember the high-pitched sound the engines made.

I dream a lot about airplanes (that I can remember). Actually, last night I had a strange dream. I was on a UA 757 and we had to make an emergency landing at SFO at night. The pilot was flying really fast and kept missing the runway so we did like four go-arounds-he seemed to be in a real hurry. Then we had a very bumpy landing and were evacuated off the plane. The reason for the emergency-our landing gear had no wheels. Very strange dream.

I had a horrible, scary dream one time, here it goes...

I was at my old home I used to live in and suddenly this F15 crashes into the house next to us and come out the other end and when it comes to a stop, it explodes. then a couple more do the same thing. After that, I saw an Alaska 737 moving side to side and then crash in a fiery explosion a couple miles away and near the airport. After that the weather got really foggy and stormy, and the fog was a dark scary green. Next, I see a Lan Chile 767 that is kind of in the distance and is, like, shadowy and I could see lightning strike it in the air, and one of the engines caught fire and then exploded causeing the plane to come down straight to the ground and like everything else, crashed in a huge explosion, near our house. Then I checked the news on the TV and it said that Boise was surrounded by a massive Worldwide storm system, and Boise was the only place for planes to land. I saw a Northwest 747 coming straight for us, and all the engines were on fire, but it pulled up and flew right over our house. I saw an American 737 land, but then overran the runway. Suddenly the skys clear up and then everything was better, but I saw that the TV news was saying that tens of thousands were dead. Btw, in my dream for some reason, my house was, like, 12 storys high and we were right next to the airport, and I was at the top floor.

That was one of the scariest, longest, and most real dreams I have ever had. I feel like it had just happened and I can remember it so well.

I  Love BOI

used to dream of aircraft anything from the noises a BY 767-300ER makes on taxi roll right through to a rotating aer lingus A321 which never got its rear wheels off the ground and most of the way our rear gear was on the ground weird dream but hey every house and tree we went though done no damage - bit like flight sim when you have the crash mode off!!

as a travel agent i go to bed with the tui logo flashing around my head and dreaming of the whole ruddy holiday now and not just the machine that gets you there!
