I went there last September 2002 and March 2003. The terminal has a whopping 2 gates. You'll see what CX Flyboy said, but you can also see some An-24s as well, and some Mil helicopters, if you're into Soviet/Russian aircraft.
717fan is correct in the airline listing for ULN. I flew to/from PEK on Air China and MIAT before. Air China gives you a hot meal, and MIAT only gives you a snack. But if you fly the MIAT 738, it's a lot newer and nicer than the Air China 737-500 (or -300) they use on the route.
Service on both is about the same, is a bit better than a US carrier, but not like SQ, CX, KE, TG, etc...

Korean Air operates from ICN - ULN...Air China and Aeroflot operate there too I think. MIAT Mongolian I think serves Germany from ULN on their A310s, but I could be wrong. Also, perhaps there are some airlines that link ULN and cities in China like Urumqi and Xi'an? Not sure.
