Today I made a connection on NW at MSP, and I noticed that the luggage lockers were in use again. Since I had a three and a half hour layover, and I wanted to be able to explore the airport unencumbered by my suitcase, I used one. Now you have to give a fingerprint twice, and once when you retrieve your luggage. I haven't seen operational lockers at any other airport in quite a while. In exploring MSP airport, I found an observation deck on Concourse D, and I spent a lot of time up there. Why can't other airports have observation decks?

they had storage at Frankfurt when I was there a couple times last December, it was 3-4 Euros if I remember right, and they x-rayed your bags. More like a storage area, than a locker, pre se, but I got to runaround without all of my bags from Saudi for 10 hours, and that was more than worth it.

I arrived on Sunday at around 11:45 A.M. on NW 1022 from Edmonton. I was on an A319, N364NB, in the new colors. I left MSP at around 4:00 P.M. on NW 110 to DCA, which was an A320, N359NW, in the old colors. I think I must have explored every inch of the airport inside security.
