Probably touched up during a visit to heavy maintenance for a C-Check. Does not look like a new paint job would, but it looks a lot better. I know some of B737 fleet is getting completely redone. I am sure they could not afford to keep her down for some more time to do a complete repaint given the limited widebody fleet.

N656US isn't the only plane that needed or needs a new paint job at U.S Airways, I noticed that alot of their airraft are in need of some patching up. The A321 that I flew this past weekend (N176UW) needed some patching up at the nose and around the cockpit.
