A friend of mine told me the EWR-BDA 762 is going to be starting up sometime next spring, this flight will simply operate before the aircraft is scheduled to go out on an international run. Bermuda can generate the traffic to fill the plane, and this results in increased utilization for our widebody fleet, several of which sit around all morning at EWR waiting for their transatlantic rotations later that evening.

The 777 will operate EWR-SDQ during the pre-Christmas winter travel rush. After the 777 is pulled off, it will go double-daily with a 757 and 737 of some variety, -800 I would assume. The single-daily 764 flight last year was very successful, but this year due to the planned increase of transatlantic capacity, 767s to operate that flight once-daily for the winter are not available. The double frequencies of a 757 and 738 offer total capacity increases over both the 777 and 764 individually.

EWR-SJU gets a 762 on the earlier flight for the winter, ostensibly for the large increase of cargo capacity over the 757, there's only 4 additional seats. Like SDQ, this flight did very well last year with the 764, and we'd like to keep as much capacity both as far as cargo and passengers on this route as possible during this busy season.

As far as some other capacity increases out of EWR:

EWR-SXM-ANU-EWR goes to 757 from some point in Feb.
EWR-SDQ gets a 762 through September
EWR-SFO gets a 762 frequency for the winter
EWR-GLA gets a 762 for the winter
EWR-BRU goes 764 for the winter
EWR-AMS goes to 777 for the winter
EWR-MAN goes back to a 777 for next summer
EWR-MAD goes to 777 for the winter

Actually the EWR-MAD is already a 777, I will actually be on it on monday. The new schedule indicates that two 762's a day will visit SFO on the EWR run. They arlready have a daily 762 to IAH. Is the BRU flt really going to a 764? I can't imagine that they would upgrade a non-tourist city to a 764.
