I know this is a downgrade in capacity from their A340s (I believe). However, the fact that they are running this admittedly 'long-and-thin' route into the weak season is impressive. Often, routes like this are shelved altogether after the mid-fall timeframe and resurrected after our Memorial Day Holiday (late May) or in June.

This is a temporary change only, the flight is supposed to go back to an A340-300 in the winter schedule, with 6 flights a week (daily except Wednesday); however, the way LH normally acts that can be changed without notice. It rather seems that they need the plane for the MUC-PVG which will resume September 2nd.
