Turkish Airlines is considering the launch of a low cost division to take over its traditionally loss making domestic route network. The carrier is in the process of receiving bids from major airframe manufacturers for an initial order of about 10 aircraft. The A318, 717, EMB170 and CRJ900 are all under consideration.
Turkish Airlines would likely turn over the majority of its domestic route network outside the Istanbul-Ankara-Izmir triangle to the yet to be formed carrier.

When I first saw the topic I thought- well thats stupid. THERE ARE NO TURKISH LCCs. WHY WASTE THE TIME? Then I saw that its a loss-leader didn't know that. Well signs of life at a government-owned airline are always good.
