Does anybody know if this new military jet will be able to carry the Phoenix missile, since it is going to eventually replace the F-14.

Andman, sorry to disappoint you, but this is not a military aircraft forum. But anyway, not much is known about the new F/A-18's since most of it is classified, espesially it's weapons payload. But I doubt it will carry those missiles since there are alot of better missiles nowadays instead of the Pheonix

The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is not currently being planned to carry the AIM-54 Phoenix. It is too expensive and old. Instead, it will carry the AIM-120 AMRAAM, and possibly the ALRAAM is it is built.

Captpeter I think in this forum we like aviation in all shapes and sizes. I think that we might not know as much on military but if it flies I think it is welcome here. And I think everyone wil lagree with me.

If you read that F/A-18 thing, that was a mistake. I welcome military aircraft questions it's just unusual. I must have been drunk or tired. Oh Well =D

as your not in the cockpit at the time!
