AF A319 Longhaul?

AF will lease two A319 from ILFC in the Long Range version. Maybe they're planning a similar all-Business lomghaul operation like LH?

That's true, Air France will definitely lease two Airbus Industrie A319LR for delivery in spring 2004 (c/n 2213 and c/n 2228). Although I haven't heared anything about all-business long-haul charters by Air France yet, it is most likely that they have been inspired by the success of the Lufthansa/Privatair cooperation.

I read on an AF-related site that many of the "Petroleum Club" passengers / companies are saying that they would prefer a mono-biz-class-cabin for their destinations. The order for the A319LR is perhaps in view of this "request".

LAD (Luanda), LOS (Lagos), BZV (Brazzaville), LBV (Libreville), RUH (Ryiadh), DXB (Dubaï), Etc...

anything could be a petroleum club destination...add to that list of regulars: IAH, MNL, GRU and so on

According to informations I had yesturday, AF plans to use these a/c to open now routes to the middle-east, including SDA that was planned for next winter schedule but will certainly not be re-opened, due to the "uncertain" situation over there. Re-opening THR is also considered, all this in a classic C/Y configuration...for the moment.
