I was on the CO Inaugural flight to GVA from EWR. Of course, my connection from DFW was delayed, and I arrived at EWR with 15 minutes to connect. And, just my luck, DFW is one of the few flights that CO flies into terminal A instead of C....needless to say, I missed the flight. (It was still at the gate, but they wouldn't open the door for me.) Thus began the trip from hell, and I was routed through MAN and BSL, before arriving in Geneva 13 hours behind schedule. That's it...my only inaugural story.

Don't know if that counts...
But if all goes well and AF doesn't change their plans at the last minute, fellow a.net-member Sabena332 and I will be onboard of the first commercial Airbus A318 landing in DUS. It is going to be on January 10, so if anybody wants to join, feel free to do so!
Reading my own post, I can see how us aviation enthusiats get the nerd reputation.

I was on the first JetBlue flight to Syracuse, New York (SYR) in May 2001. It was a very short flight and I do not even remember the tail number of the aircraft (gasp! shock!).
There was a nice water cannon salute upon landing, however. Very nice touch.
