Hi all!

I'm looking for the cheapest one way ticket between these two cities , ANY itinerary can be considered for the week of the 30th October.
The reason I ask this is because I'm planning a three month tour in Australia. Coming back I will pay a visit to my friend in Beijing so for the moment I'm just thinking about getting there...
I'm very flexible on the dates aswell as the departure airport because I live in Brussels but guess that the cheapest offers to Australia are from London.
On the other hand all options are open so if someone tells me that the cheapest will be via Belgrade on JAT i'll take it. Tickets to Australia are so expensive so I'm very flexible in order to get the cheapest ticket.

The reason I ask your help is because there seems to be so many possibilities
between Europe and Australia that I've become lost.
Ex BA or Qantas direct to Australia or then SIA via SIN or EK via DUB, MAS via KUL, China Eastern via Beijing... There are so many possibilities and I'm lost.

If someone thinks that a return ticket under certain conditions might be cheaper I'll consider it as well...

All options are under consideration , thanks to all for your help

Cheers SAA-SAL

Your last option L.1011: 'opb MH', isn't Lauda Air operating the flights for OS to SYD?

I see here fares of a bit less than 500£/€750 one way.

Ben: for €873 + tax, you can fly NZ to SYD via LAX and Auckland RETURN.

Might that be a better option?

Frederic

If you are so keen on saving money, I would definitely recommend you to forget about a one-way and plan your whole itenarary now. From Amsterdam, roundtrips to Australia are possible for about 800 euro with stopovers in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysian, Lauda) or Hong Kong (Cathay). In the time you stop over there, I think it's possible to get to Beijing (esp. from Hong Kong) and back for something 150 Euro-ish.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

You may have difficulties with a visa for a 3 month stay in Australia without being able to show a return ticket.

You could go for about € 580 from Frankfurt with China Airlines or Emirates for about € 650.

Sabena 690, Maybe it is. I just assumed KUL would be Malaysia. You're probably right.

Thanks to all. I realise that it would be much cheaper to take a round trip but it seems fairly heavy to fly Australia Beijing and back. An ideal itinerary would be Europe-Australia-China-Europe.
