Hoping someone who works at YUL might be able to help.
I am booked on an Air Canada flight to Paris from YVR via YUL, on September 22. The unsettling part is the 40 minutes needed to change aircraft in Montreal.
AC 1118 is scheduled to arrive from YVR at 2128 and AC 884 to CDG departs YUL at 2210. I have checked the flight status of these two flights the past few days and today (Aug 28) AC 884 arrived at 2144, leaving just 26 minutes to make it to AC 884.
The other day the flight from Vancouver arrived 90 minutes late, which would mean a missed connection. Are the gates for these two flights fairly close together? Even if I can make it to the gate in 20 minutes, will my luggage make it over in time? I'm assuming I wouldn't be the only person trying to make this connection.
Hopefully, someone who works at YUL might be familiar with this particular connection. Any info. would be appreciated.

I can confirm that.. they are always late... even people I know who use AF regularly complain about them always being late.. I've even seen them arriving at 1am on some nights...,er mornings... whenever I've flown them I've yet to leave within 30 minutes of the posted departure time... if they aren't on strike..

It would take you a maximum of 1 minute to run from one end of the corridor to the other. It's a very small departure hall, so if the YVR flight isn't delayed, there is no problem. I can't garantee the luggage though. They might not make it, considering AC is short staff at the moment.
Good luck and have fun in Paris!
