Back when jetBlue first announced its plan to make LGB a major focus city, LGB-SEA was indicated as one of the routes they planned to start in the early stages. Since then there seems to be no word on if/when they may begin service on this route. Has jetBlue put LGB-SEA on hold indefinitely or is there talk that they may start service on the route in the not-too-distant future?

I think the logjam with B6 on the LGB-SEA route is the slot allocation at LGB. I don't think you'll see too many more flights through LGB unless the city and the FAA allow more slots.
I know there's a lot of competition between OAK and SEA with AS and WN, but I wouldn't be surprised if B6 started this route in the next 5 years or so...especially, if and when the terminal at OAK is significantly expanded.

As long as AS remains in the LGB-SEA market I have doubts you will see JetBlue enter the route. With so few slots out of LGB for everyone why waste slots by duplicating another airline on the same route? It's why I also have doubts about the rumors about LGB-PHX when America West is also on the route. There should be plenty of profitable monopoly routes out of LGB for everyone.
