Nothing new with them, they are still using the same equipment and the L-10's are seeing some action, this past saturday the 30 of Aug. We saw two land on rwy 05, C-GATM and C-FTSZ. I believe they are still flying the same routes...if it ain't broke don't fix it applies! I know first hand that they are really expensive to go to MCO from YYZ....well around christmas that is...last christmas I went on the 20th the friday before christmas....and they had trouble filling a 310. Home on the 28th was a more or less full L-1011 with about 15 seats to spare.

AT also signed a charter agreement with Westjet for two years. Westjet will make an estimated $29 million in the first year (this year). This benefits both airlines, Westjet financially, and AT with the availability of smaller aircraft to charter.

No news is good news in the airline business!
TS has stayed true to their original business plan of focusing on the charter market. Other charter carriers that started in the late 80's with TS have since gone bankrupt or disappeared: C3, Crown Air, Minerve Canada, Worldways, Points of Call, Odyssey, Vacationair, Royal, Nationair, Fortunair, Air Club Intl....the list goes on and on.
The TS business model is working....they should not change it. The minute they start expanding en masse into sked ops (a la C3) we know they'll be in trouble!
Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Anyone out there with news on when Air Transat will be moving all flights to YUL from YMX? I'd like to see them offering scheduled European flights out of YUL so we get more direct one on one competition from the same airport.
