Ryanair, STN Wait Times And The Stansted Express

Next week I will be flying Ryanair from Stansted to Oslo-Torp. My flight departs at 7:00 AM. I will be taking the Stansted Express out to STN; the Express departs from Liverpool Street and arrives at STN in about 45 minutes.

My question: with Tube schedules, I can only make the 5:30 Stansted Express departure. That will put me at the airport at 6:15. Will this be enough time to catch my 7:00 Ryanair departure, or should I play it safe and get to Liverpool Street earlier?

Getting to STN at 06:15 for an 07:00 Ryanair departure is definitely not early enough. Check-in desks at Stansted (and Palermo) now close 45 minutes before departure time.

My considered opinion is no, this is not enough.

Arrive earlier. Gone are the days when you could arrive 30 minutes before and walk right up to the desk with no queue....

bon voyage, and enjoy Norway - it is an excellent (if expensive) destination.

Anyway. The other alternative is the slow (but cheaper, and 24-hour) bus from Victoria. The thing takes 2 hours (scheduled 1h 40 minutes), runs every 30 minutes through the night and every 15 during the day, I believe....

I actually enjoyed taking the A2 Airport Bus to STN from London. Iv'e never tried the Stansted Express but i assume that you get to see more of the London Suburbs and english contry side when travelling with the bus. If you'r travelling out of London this probably is of no interest to you though. A wortwhile notice to tourists planning on visiting London via STN however.

I think the 4:30 bus runs only on Mondays and Fridays, or something like that.
