Hey,

I don't mean to get on the whole MD-11 thing again, I do know that it's pax version and combi version are out of production, but I do see quite a lot of freighters, can anyone tell me if the MD-11 Freighter is in prodution ?

Simple answer. NO

Lufthansa Cargo took the delivery of the last MD-11 ever bulit. It was a freighter version. Registration D-ALCN.
I'm not completely sure, but I think there are some incs. around there that have a conversion program for the MD-11 (from PAX to Freighter).

See ya,

That is correct, Lufthansa CARGO took delivery of the last NEW MD-11 Freighter either in 2000 or 2001.

Keep in mind that many cargo airlines have/are in the process of converting DC-10s to MD-10s, a procedure that I am not too sure about, but I know it involves installing winglets and some other exterior mods that make the aircraft look like an MD-11.

If memory serves there was quite a bit of pressure on Boeing to keep the freighter in production, but in the end they held out and killed the whole program.

A lot of people still consider that a mistake on Boeings part.
