QF New Bizz Class Seats - When / Where?

From what I´ve been able to read the first QF 3-class 744 should be about to roll out with the new "flat" Business Class seats. However I can´t find info on the date and which aircraft actually will be the first (a 744ER or a 'standard' 744?) with the new Business Class seats? Any other changes made to the aircraft´s interior while the Business Class is upgraded?

Hi TR,

The first aircraft (a 747-438) will operate QF1 on September 24, with the cabin crew in their new uniforms!

Oh, I would have thought they would use the newly painted, newly delivered 744ER Wunala Dreaming. personally, it makes commercial sense to do so, as it seems to be the flagship of QF, recognised around the world.

Ahhh well, should be a good seat, can't wait to see cabin photos Big grin

Marara, you could well be right! VH-OJJ is out and about flying at the moment, so I don't think it's her.

I also wanted to know when new busi-seats will be in service.
Have been told that first european route will be LHR in 2004. Change of seats should be finished mid/end of 2005 with FRA-planes.

OJJ is a 2 class aircraft AJ! I thought it was OJL, I seem to remember reading on this board.

Stefan, the first service I mentioned, QF1, operates to London Heathrow via Bangkok.

AJ, so you talking about 2003??
I also have heared that LHR is first destination with new busi-class.
I want to fly to BNE in june, 2004 and my first choice is QF, of course. But in the meantime I "fear" I have to fly CX.

Some very good information - along with details of how it was obtained - is available at:
