I did a search in the database on the MD-10 and only found one pic that shows a MD-10 outside the US. It was taken in Venice,Italy were some of the conversion work was done. Does FX even operate the MD-10 on international routes outside the US? I mean it's pretty easy to mistake the MD-10 with DC-10, so the database maybe isn't the best base for research.

On July 12 of this year N388FE DC10-10F 46622/144 '388' was converted to MD10 in Europe and flown to the US via the UK.
Today MD10 (N311FE) flew over my house (in Canada) from Chicago to Anchorage (flight FE0083). Before that it was the N303FE N312FE and N377FE.
I have not seen one that continued on to the Orient for a long time.

WHen I left fedex over a year ago, i think there was one flight a week to Asia that was a DC-10-30 (FDX0019 on saturdays) and one muliple times a week from IND o STN and CDG. Think it as FDX0010.
YOU probably won't see MD-10's fly international (wih the exception of thats the only plane they have available in a pinch) because you will most likely need to carry a 3 man crew due to FAA regs (Over 8 needs 3 etc...). This works for the MD-11 since its somewhat larger and more efficient,, but the MD-10's are basicly working the same as a standard DC-10.
I think when i was leaving there were plans to convert all the DC-10 int'l flying (except South America) to MD-11's.
